About the Formax ColorMax LP
The ColorMaxLP used a Memjet print head with 70,400 nozzles to print full-color CMYK labels (up to 16.8 million colors) at up to 60 feet per minute (12 inches per second) at 1600 x 1600 dpi, with full-bleed printing up to 8.5" wide. It offered three output modes (roll-to-roll, roll-to-cut, and print & hold) plus a warm start of under 10 seconds. Formax has since discontinued the model in favor of the ColorMaxLP2 and ColorMaxLP3.
