About the Formax ColorMax 7
The ColorMax 7 uses a stationary Memjet print head with 70,400 nozzles and no moving parts to produce full-color CMYK output (up to 16.8 million colors) at 1600 x 1600 dpi (6 inches per second) or 1600 x 800 dpi (12 inches per second), with full-bleed printing up to 8.5" wide. It handles media from 3" x 4.25" up to 9.5" x 17" and can produce up to 3,600 printed sheets or 7,500 #10 envelopes per hour. Because Memjet thermal inkjet doesn't require heat or direct contact with the substrate, the ColorMax 7 can print safely on pre-printed and windowed envelopes.
